In terms of specifications, it is rumoured that Qualcomm's most recent Snapdragon 8 Elite chip will power the S26 series, with an Expose variant possible in some regions. Depending on the model, RAM could increase to 16GB, and the battery could be where things get more interesting.

Battery Improvement

The 5,500mAh stacked battery that is rumored to be included in the S26 Ultra represents a 10% increase over its predecessor.

Camera Features

Rumors about the camera vary. The base and Plus models may once again use a triple-lens setup with 50MP, 12MP, and 10MP, while the Ultra may keep a main sensor with 200MP (possibly upgraded).

Galaxy S26 Edge Rumors

What about the S26 Edge that was previously rumored? Its fate is still unknown, but there are reports that it could be put off or quietly scrapped.

AI is the one theme that runs throughout Galaxy Unpacked. According to reports, Samsung is significantly expanding Galaxy AI, which may include a notification summary tool powered by AI that, employing its Gauss model, summarizes 24 hours' worth of alerts into a concise summary.

AI Integrations

 There are also rumors of deeper integrations with third parties, like a deal to preload Perplexity on the S26, which could change how search is handled by Samsung's browser and virtual assistant.
